Changes at the NMRO

21st Mar 2016

The NMRO will cease to exist as a Government Department from the 1st April and will be amalgamated with the BRDO form the 1st April. This new single Directorate will be known as "Regulatory Delivery".

It is unclear at the moment how this will function in detail we must be very aware of the possible diluting of the service we receive from the NMRO when it is part of a larger department responsible for a wider range of functions. There has been assureance that the NMRO notified body will continue unchanged and is enthusiastic about the future.

Please see press releases that have been published with regard to this.

There is a meeting between the NMRO and the UKWF later at which we will press for more detailed information. Please do not hesitate to contact Ian Turner if you would like to discuss this further.
