The Medical Weighing Project 2015

6th Jul 2015

The NMRO / Trading Standards Project  on the use of weighing instruments in doctors surgeries and health clinics has been published. Click here for the full report on findings.

This appears to be a good well organised project with some useful conclusions. It is staggering to note that the project found 23% of instruments were highly likely to fail with a high impact of failure and it was also good to see that one of the other conclusions was the identifying the need to improve the contracts that the NHS had with those companies that supplied calibration services. This is something supported by the UKWF and we will actively engage in this process.
