About the UKWF

The UK Weighing Federation (UKWF) is the national trade association for the weighing industry.

We are affiliated to the European Federation (CECIP) in which we take an active part at all levels including the legal metrology group and the management team.

The UKWF works closely with various organisations including:

• The National Weights and Measures Laboratory (NWML)
• Local Authorities Co-ordinators of Regulatory Services (LACORS)
• Trading Standards Institute
• British Standards Institute

We are regularly consulted on metrological matters and participate in joint activities with various bodies.

Our technical officer has a wealth of experience and regularly represents the industry at national and international levels and is available to members for technical advice.

We strive to maintain and raise standards within the industry through training, regular briefings, codes of conduct with internal auditing, technical bulletins and regional meetings.
