The UK Weighing Federation (UKWF) is the national trade association for manufacturers, dealers, repairers, installers and service organisations in the weighing machine industry.

On behalf of its members it takes part in the development of new national, european and international legislation and standards relating to all aspects of weighing.

The UKWF believes that the principles of fair competition, equitable trading and value for money are the basis for good business between its members and their customers.

Membership benefits include access to the Technical Officer, newsletters, Free Legal Advice Service, publicity and advertising material.

UKWF & UWIC LEAD THE WAY WITH METROLOGY TRAINING

Previously Legal Metrology training has been fragmented and costly. It has been difficult to keep skills up to date. What training has been given has generally had no formal recognition from external organisations. The scheme the UKWF have developed with UWIC (University of Wales Institute, Cardiff) leads to a formal qualification that will raise our status in the eyes of customers and assist the Federation in its arguments to provide further services for government and industry.
