STEVE MILLING

With over 35 years of experience in the weighing industry, starting in 1988, Steve has held various roles at companies such as Ian Fellows Ltd and Marco Ltd. He has a proven track record in obtaining and maintaining certifications such as ISO9001 and NAWI for multiple products and companies.

Transitioning to Marco Ltd in 2014, he successfully designed products like LineMaster and CheckMaster with NAWI pattern certification in 35 countries worldwide. As the Legal Metrology Officer post ATS acquisition of Marco Ltd, he ensures compliance with weighing legislation globally.

Steve’s expertise spans product design, certification processes, and legislative requirements. He has facilitated certifications, including ISO9001 transition to BSI at Marco Ltd and obtaining various EU/UK NAWI module D certifications.

Advocating for the UK weighing industry, he emphasises the importance of maintaining technical certification services within the UK. His vision includes promoting UK/EU/OIML certifications in future trade agreements and establishing connections with organisations such as NCWM in the USA.

With a profound understanding of industry challenges and legislative frameworks, he aims to collaborate with policymakers to enhance the global standing of the UK weighing industry. Passionate about contributing innovative solutions, he is well-connected within the industry and committed to addressing members’ concerns effectively.
