The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) represents one of the most significant regulatory changes affecting manufacturers of connected products, yet many of its practical implications for the weighing industry remain unclear. As discussions continue within UKWF and at European industry level through CECIP, it is becoming increasingly important for manufacturers, notified bodies, service providers and users of weighing equipment to understand how these new cybersecurity requirements will interact with existing legal metrology obligations.
