Potential Changes to UKWF CoP – A general introduction to the idea , outlining the advantages it would bring to members, customers, and the UKWF
A presentation – outlining the proposed changes to the Code of Practice:

We have produced the first draft version of the new UKWF Code of Practice with the increased scope of “ Inspection and Calibration of Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments”. This is for members comments only at this stage.

The new code is intended to mirror the work that most of the members will carry out now and reflect the work that would be carried out by Weights and Measures Inspectors if they are visiting a business.

This update includes the three documents listed above:

  1. Potential Changes to UKWF CoP : A general introduction to the idea , outlining the advantages it would bring to members, customers, and the UKWF. There is a slide on the Primary Authority that the UKWF now have with Hertfordshire County Council. This will give us transparent support for this scheme and will enable us to find a supported resolution to many of the challenges we face with authorities.
  2. A presentation outlining the proposed changes to the Code of Practice: The major change is that members will need to inspect the markings on the instrument and checking the instrument is level, printing correctly, follows the type of examination and that all the seals and security seals are present
  3. UKWF CoP V13 the proposed “Inspection and Calibration of Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments”.

All the proposed changes are highlighted in red.

UKWF WEBINAR: New Code of Practice: We will be hosting a members’ webinar on 9th July on the UKWF Codes of Practice. To book in and form more information, click here.
